Data | A newspaper reported that "base ball" was one of the games played at the annual outing of the Lea Lodge of Good Templars. The lodge was located in Luton, Bedfordshire, but the outing took place in a small village called Aubray that can no longer be located, but was in the vicinity of Ashridge House in Hertfordshire: "After tea, various games, including croquet, base-ball, &c., were indulged in, and the excursionists left Aubray for their return home at 8 o'clock." |
