The Black Range (Robinson, Socorro County NM) Sept. 7, 1883 mentions the "Chloride base ballists" that the Fairview base ball team has played five times. Same Aug. 3, 1883 has a long article on the Chloride game with Fairview.

Fairview, Grafton and Chloride were silver mining towns that flourished in the 1880s but are today ghost towns.
